New York used to make things.
It's making them again.
Pulse exists because the best builders shouldn't have to move to SF to find capital, customers, and a cohort. NYC has the industries — defense, energy, finance, media, healthcare — but it's missing the foundry that turns weekend work into companies. We're building that foundry.
- 2025First hackathon · 15 builders · Mitchell's 3rd floor lounge
No sponsor, one backpack, one laptop, infinite passion. Finals week and builders showed up to a random hackathon. that became the first signal that NYC was ready for a foundry, not another accelerator.
- 20263 chapters · 4500+ builders in the network
Make it here. Make it anywhere.
Every other foundry asks builders to leave home. We don't. NYC already has the industries: defense primes in Virginia commute here, the country's largest banks run from Midtown, every major hospital network has an R&D arm within 30 minutes of our loft, and the country's biggest media companies sit between them. The customers are here. The capital is here. The talent is here. The only missing piece was the foundry — and that's what Pulse is.
“48 hours” beats “fast”. Numbers beat adjectives.
Working software earns the meeting. Decks don't.
Builders ship faster when they ship next to each other.
One network, one city, one path from idea to capital.
Pulse Foundry AI is a cross-university, open community for AI builders and learners — bringing together innovators from NYU, Columbia, Cornell Tech, and the broader NYC startup ecosystem.
