Case 10Internal Operations

AI search and knowledge assistant for internal teams

An internal search assistant that lets employees ask in plain language and get cited answers from approved company sources.

Schematic of a plain-language search query branching into source documents, with one cited answer highlighted.
About the client

A business with internal documents, policies, SOPs, client information, and operating know-how scattered across far too many systems.

01

The problem

Finding the right information fast was a daily struggle. Answers were buried in documents, Slack threads, spreadsheets, emails, and shared drives.

It slowed everyone down and left people leaning on the same two or three colleagues for every answer.

02

What we explored

We defined an internal AI search assistant to make company knowledge easy to reach and actually use.

The goal was simple: let employees ask a question in plain language and get a reliable answer drawn from approved internal sources.

03

The solution

An internal knowledge assistant that could:

  • 01Search across company documents
  • 02Answer employee questions
  • 03Cite its sources
  • 04Summarize policies and processes
  • 05Help bring new hires up to speed
  • 06Cut down on repeat questions to managers
  • 07Open up institutional knowledge to the people who need it
04

Impact

The goal was to save time, clear out internal bottlenecks, and make company knowledge genuinely usable across the organization.

05

Why this matters

Most companies already have the knowledge they need. The trouble is it's scattered everywhere. AI can pull it together and hand it back to the people who need it.
